Logan Cooper Moncrief is a Texas-based colorguard director, designer, and educator deeply rooted in the marching arts community, with a focus on comprehensive program development and cohesive show design. Raised in Redwater, Texas, Logan is a graduate of Redwater High School and has been actively directing and designing in the marching arts since graduating in 2020.
Since that time, Logan has served as the head colorguard director for four schools and five ensembles, earning numerous 1st Division ratings, multiple Best in Class Colorguard and Outstanding Colorguard awards, and a variety of top-three placements throughout the winterguard season between all ensembles. Logan has also successfully launched two winterguard programs in their inaugural seasons, guided multiple ensembles through classification advancements, earned WGI finalist recognition, and is a two-time consecutive NTCA medalist.
Logan currently serves as the colorguard director at Redwater High School and Pewitt High School. Across his ensembles, Logan is responsible for the complete creative vision of each production — designing and developing floor concepts, uniforms, flags, choreography, staging, and fully mastered soundtracks.
Beyond his own programs, Logan has designed, choreographed, and guided additional ensembles to earn 1st Division ratings and Best in Class and Outstanding Colorguard honors. He also collaborates and works with Marching365, contributing as a designer and choreographer for bands and colorguards across the country.
In addition to colorguard, Logan’s creative work extends into marching band design, including uniform design and drill writing. Additionally, he currently serves as a web designer and builder for Four States Performing Arts Association (FSPAA).
Logan is a founding member of Four States Performing Arts Association (FSPAA) and currently serves as President and Chairman of the Board Roles and Responsibilities Committee, overseeing organizational direction, governance, and long-term growth initiatives.
I believe the marching arts carry responsibility — to students, educators, and the communities that support them. My mission is to create intentional, sustainable performance experiences where students are challenged, supported, and taken seriously as artists. I strive to build environments where performers grow as both individuals and collaborators, where design is purposeful, and where success is defined by consistency, care, and long-term impact — not momentary results. Through principled leadership and thoughtful design, my goal is to create programs and organizations where creativity is supported by structure, and excellence is earned through purpose, not pressure. I aim to leave every program stronger, more confident, and more intentional than I found it.
